How We Choose Your Skin Tightening Treatment
Your consultation begins with the concern, not the name of a machine. We look at skin laxity, texture, pigment, volume and localized fullness separately, then discuss which treatment has a useful role in your plan.
Sylfirm X: RF microneedling for skin quality
Sylfirm X combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy. We can discuss its role when changes in skin texture and firmness are part of your concern. Treatment depth, energy and areas are individualized rather than selected from a one-size-fits-all package.
Agnes RF: a targeted approach
Agnes RF is a targeted radiofrequency treatment. A focal concern needs a different assessment from general skin-quality changes. Your provider will explain whether targeted treatment is appropriate for your anatomy and how recovery may differ from broader-area microneedling.
NOUVADerm: resurfacing and texture
NOUVADerm is a fractional thulium laser. It may be discussed when surface texture, tone and skin-quality concerns are part of the plan. Your skin history and the selected treatment intensity help determine preparation and recovery.
PlaDuo Pro: dual-plasma treatment

Related skin correction and maintenance
Sciton HALO is a laser resurfacing option. BBL addresses selected pigment and redness concerns, while AquaFirmeXS supports cleansing, exfoliation and hydration. These services have different purposes; they are not interchangeable skin-tightening treatments.
When a combination makes sense
At Contour You, a plan may include Agnes RF, Sylfirm X and NOUVADerm, or a PlaDuo-based approach, when each component addresses a specific assessed concern. Your provider explains the purpose, sequence, recovery and total cost of the proposed plan. More treatments are not automatically better, and a combination is not necessary for everyone.
What to Expect: Consultation, Recovery and Results
Your consultation
Discuss the area that bothers you, your health history, previous procedures and how much recovery time you can accommodate. We review your goals, candidacy and alternatives, then explain the proposed treatment or staged plan.
Your treatment appointment
Appointment length, comfort measures and preparation depend on the selected device and treatment area. Ask who will perform your procedure and what to expect before, during and after it. A PlaDuo Pro appointment is approximately one hour; other procedures have their own scheduling requirements.
Recovery and Arizona sun exposure
Recovery is determined by the procedure, treatment intensity, area and your healing response. Redness, swelling, tenderness, dryness or visible healing may occur. Your provider explains aftercare and when to resume makeup, exercise and usual activities. Discuss sun exposure, recent tanning and outdoor plans before scheduling.
Results and follow-up
Improvement and its timing vary. Your plan may involve one procedure, a series or staged treatments, with a follow-up assessment before deciding on additional care. Non-surgical treatment does not produce the same result as surgery, and outcomes are not guaranteed.

How do Sylfirm X, Agnes RF, NOUVADerm and PlaDuo Pro differ?
Sylfirm X is an RF microneedling platform, Agnes is a targeted RF option, NOUVADerm is a fractional thulium laser and PlaDuo Pro uses nitrogen and argon plasma. They have different treatment approaches and healing requirements. Your consultation explains each device’s proposed role in your care.
Why would you combine treatments?
A staged combination may address several assessed concerns, such as focal fullness together with changes in skin texture. Each component should have a clear purpose. Combining procedures is not necessary for everyone and does not guarantee a better result.
How many sessions will I need?
The number, spacing and follow-up schedule depend on the procedure and your response. Ask for a written plan that explains the proposed sessions, cost and when results will be reassessed.
Is there downtime?
Downtime varies with the treatment and its intensity. Tell us about work, travel, outdoor activities and upcoming events so your provider can explain a realistic recovery window before scheduling.
Can you treat loose skin after weight loss?
We can assess skin-quality concerns after weight loss. The amount and location of excess skin affect whether a non-surgical procedure is appropriate. Significant excess skin may require a surgical consultation.
Can skin tightening replace a facelift or body lift?
No. Non-surgical procedures have different capabilities and limitations. Your provider will discuss whether they fit your goals or whether a surgical evaluation would be more appropriate.
Does CoolSculpting tighten skin?
CoolSculpting Elite is a fat-reduction treatment. If you have both localized fat and skin-quality concerns, we assess them separately and discuss whether a staged plan is appropriate.
How much does skin tightening cost?
Cost depends on the device, area and treatment plan. Your personalized quote explains the recommended care and what is included; a single procedure and a multi-treatment plan have different costs.
