What is RF Microneedling System?
- Radiofrequency (RF) microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure primarily for skin rejuvenation, scar treatment, skin laxity, wrinkles, acne scars, etc.
- Microneedling produces controlled micro-injuries to the skin and stimulates the release of growth factors, a wound healing process, and collagen production. The needles also help to break down scar tissue.
- RF energy is delivered to the skin through microneedles. RF generates heat at 40-60°C that causes coagulation, protein denaturation or protein structural changes, leading to inflammation and collagen contraction, stimulating the wound healing response and promoting new collagen and elastin production.
- In addition, RF is not affected by the absorption coefficient by chromophores like lasers. For this reason, there are few treatment limits with regards to Fitzpatrick skin types, so all skin types can be treated effectively and safely.
